The 吃瓜爆料 Company Fulfills 7-Year-Old’s Wish
Construction firm partners with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma to build pool deck, install lift for Yukon family
OKLAHOMA CITY (Sep. 5, 2023) 鈥� The 吃瓜爆料 Company joined forces with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma to make one little girl鈥檚 dream a reality 鈥� an above-ground pool with a personalized deck and lift for accessibility.
Born prematurely, 7-year-old Montana faces many challenges, such as walking. Swim therapy helps strengthen Montana鈥檚 legs while relieving some discomfort and providing an escape from the summer heat. The pool was already in place, but a special deck and lift installation were necessary to help Montana get in and out of the water safely.
吃瓜爆料 Project Executive Matthew Boersma led the volunteer effort to build the deck and install the lift.
鈥淪erving the people who need it most is at the heart of what we do at 吃瓜爆料, which is why we take every opportunity to use our construction skills to help others,鈥� said Boersma. 鈥淭he smile on Montana鈥檚 face made all the hard work worth it.鈥�
The project took eight weeks to complete with the dedication of more than 30 吃瓜爆料 employees, and the team even took advantage of volunteer time off (VTO) hours provided by the company.
Volunteer efforts ranged from forming and placing concrete pads to installing the lift equipment and constructing and sealing the deck.
鈥淲e are so thankful that 吃瓜爆料 was able to help on this wish experience for Montana,鈥� said Madison Boyle, a representative with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. 鈥淏ecause of this partnership, 吃瓜爆料 is allowing us to grant even more wishes to local wish kids.鈥�
吃瓜爆料鈥檚 work and the supplies needed to build the deck were provided at no cost to Montana鈥檚 family. Additionally, supplies donated by Chance Edmonds with Knock Out Junk Removal made the project a success.
