A ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Team Effort with Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity

Through Operation Home Sweet Home, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ team members are volunteering across more than 30 build days to help construct a new home alongside the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity. From raising walls to painting trim, our team is stepping in throughout the build to support a local family’s journey to homeownership.

SEPTEMBER 2025

As the final month of ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s Habitat for Humanity volunteer effort wrapped up, our team helped bring the home one step closer to completion. Volunteers painted on primer, stained trim, laid down DRICORE for the subfloor and assisted with installing cabinets, doors and other finishing touches. 

After five months of hands-on work, it’s been incredible to see this house transform into a home. To catch the full reveal and celebrate the impact of this build, be sure to follow the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity on social as they share updates in late October. 

AUGUST 2025

With all exterior work now complete, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ volunteers shifted their focus indoors. Throughout August, team members dedicated multiple build days to hanging ceiling and wall rock, large sheets of drywall that form interior surfaces of the home. This phase marks a major step in preparing the house for finishing touches.

September is shaping up to be a pivotal month, as volunteers work toward getting the home ready for its future owners.

JULY 2025

Most of the work done in July was completed by local subcontractors. However, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ volunteers were able to get back at it in late July to focus on air sealing. This is a necessary step in preparing the home for insulation and ensuring long-term energy efficiency.

We’re looking forward to the second half of the project as our employees sign up to volunteer for more than a dozen days in August and September.

JUNE 2025

³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ volunteers help to make significant strides on the Operation Home Sweet Home build in Appleton in June. This includes preparing it so subcontractors can perform rough-in work for HVAC, electrical and plumbing. 

Tasks completed include: 

  • Laid out support beams and installed sill plates, I-joists and stairs. 
  • Built and erected all exterior and interior walls including door and window openings.  
  • Installed all blocking needed for sheet rock, cabinets, etc. 
  • Installed roof trusses, sheathed the roof and shingled. 
  • Installed all exterior doors and windows. 
  • Finished siding the exterior of the house and installed siding accessories for various plumbing, HVAC and electrical needs.

MAY 2025

Our team kicked off the build with energy and momentum, helping bring the home’s framework to life. Volunteers worked together to raise and sheath exterior walls and begin interior framing—marking a major visual milestone in the project’s early stages.

Throughout the month, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ team members showed up ready to contribute, logging volunteer hours toward building a new home. May set the tone for what’s shaping up to be a meaningful journey through Operation Home Sweet Home.
